Loire

We will begin with the well known wine region of Nantes and the fine Loire Valley. Do you have your corkscrew ready? We prefer a well made metal corkscrew which has wings and can gently lift up the cork but each to their very own. At one party somebody had a fancy job but the only problem was everybody wanted a go, so lots of bottles of wine were all uncorked at the same time.
We’ve invited a couple of friends around fro a fine wine tasting session; One of them is a fine elegant lady who flits from glass to glass like a free butterfly and another is a nicely built man with a face reflecting his vast knowledge of wines. His brother is a notable wine producer. There is also my partner who is not only gorgeous but full of charm and has a strong interest in everything and everyone around her.
In front of us all we had a cool Muscadet. This was a moderately expensive bottle of wine produced in the region south of Nantes. This refreshing and lively Muscadet goes extremely well with seafoods; shell fish, marinated moule, Cancale oysters and buttered sole with white Nantes butter.
